The main story of Basara wrapped up in volume 25. These two volumes, the last ones (Which is why they’ve been on the shelf for a few months…I don’t want it to be over. Ok, seriously, how do you pull a happy ending out of this story?

Not, mind you, that I'm complaining.  I'm all for happy endings.  But still...dozens of arrows completely missing Shuri and Sarasa?  Who aren't even moving?  Random people deciding to play human shield?  (Zaki, ChaCha, Nakijin, etc. are, of course, all excused from the "random people" ( Read more... )

Interesting role reversal here: Shuri, the alpha male hero, is cast in the role of the weak damsel, while Sarasa, the tiny shoujo heroine, leaves him behind to save the day, telling him to stay safe, and in battle, it’s Shuri who has to be protected by the sidekick.
